The annual Oktoberfest on Redstone Arsenal is a 3-day festival (Fri, Sat, Sun) that is traditionally held the second full week of September. This long-standing, open to the public, festival has made its mark in the Tennessee Valley. Between 14,000-20,000 people attend over the course of the three days to enjoy the carnival rides, games, and food, but also, to enjoy the German niche of the festival which features a main Festhalle Tent with polka music, German food such as Schnitzel, Brats, and Bavarian Pretzels w/ beer cheese, imported German beer and steins, live music, a Craft Biergarten, and a place to watch SEC football games.
The festival is open to all in the Tennessee Valley and parking is free.

The annual Tree Lighting and Holiday Market on Redstone Arsenal is a 2-day festival (Sat & Sun) that is traditionally held the weekend after Thanksgiving. This holiday kick-off celebration is open to the public and includes the official lighting of the 25' Redstone Arsenal holiday tree, a holiday market featuring over 70 local craft vendors selling their unique handmade goods and treats, Santa Claus, bright lights, and more. There is a German niche at the Tree Lighting and Holiday Market and shoppers can enjoy brat sandwiches, pretzels and cheese, Gluhwein, beer, and more.
The festival is open to all in the Tennessee Valley and parking is free.
- Redstone Arsenal Army Birthday Celebration

The annual Army Birthday Celebration is centered around the Army's Birthday on June 14. For the last 3 years, Redstone Arsenal Family and MWR has hosted the celebration outside the gates of Redstone Arsenal at Redstone Gateway. This is a 1-day festival featuring a Cruise-In Car Show, a craft market with over 70 local vendors, live music, restaurants, food trucks, sweet treats, inflatables, games, and a spectacular firework finale.
The festival has free admission, is open to all in the Tennessee Valley, and parking is free.

Redstone Family and MWR Special Events provide morale boosting activities and events in which attendees can experience entertainment, culture, music, and more. Programming includes an outdoor carnival, a holiday celebration, and an Army birthday celebration, as well as other forms of entertainment.
